Help Spam and Ads keep popping up

[Android Question]

Hello,
I have an Galaxy S5 Active and when I am doing anything on my phone ads from Google Play Store or Congratulation pages pop up. I've tried scanning for Viruses, I've deleted a bunch of apps and nothing seems to be working or helping. I am just tired of things popping up, I want my phone back to the way it should be.
Can you please help me with this issue?

Try malware bytes or addons detector, they should help you get to the bottom of why you're getting the popups.

Also try clearing your browsers cache/data.

The adblock app in the above post only works on rooted handsets and even then it's unlikely to resolve your issue.

I've downgraded my play store to v5.1.1 & Chrome browser to v39, which keeps a LOT out.
