Spam notifications

I have an Optus branded One X and constantly get spam notifications. Is there any way I can stop my phone from.getting these?

It could be aggressive advertising, known as AirPush and similar.

The app which had created that mess might be still on your phone ... recently installed or updated.
To find that culprit app install an AirPush detector like
Lookout Ad Network Detector

Thank you so much! I installed Airpush Detector and it detected about 10 apps that were sending push notifications. Have uninstalled them so will see if I get any more ad's now.
