Help Spammed system notifications while their notifications are turned off

crucible9

Lurker
I have a Blackview BL8800 Pro that I am trying to set up with all the google apps disabled but I keep getting spammed with notifications like: "Phone won't work unless you enable Google Play services". I'm loading apps not dependent on google and I have disabled notifications on google and google's apps that send the notifications yet they still keep spamming, I never had this issue on my previous Blackview mobiles.

Hate to break it to you, sometimes you just need Google Play Services, and do yourself a favor and emble it.

Are you referring to the Google Play Services Framework you've disabled? Because many apps and games do depend on that to work, and will protest if it's not present or is disabled, even though they might not specifically have Google features in them.

Other Google apps are not so critical, like the Play Store app itself, Google Search, Gmail, Chrome, etc.

Again, "I'm loading apps not dependent on google", "I never had this issue on my previous Blackview mobiles". Why do disabled apps with disabled notifications still spam notifications and how to I silence them for good.

Google Play Services is one of the worst things around.

It is literally tied to everything on a device, and so is the most nefarious spyware in the Google arsenal.

Those messages are not coming from Google Play Services.
They are coming from any number of system apps that monitor whether or not Google Pkay Services is running.

l even have seen devices that will continuously disable the Wi-Fi if Google Play Services is disabled.
"Wi-Fi Manager requires Google Play Services to function"
Funny, because the Wi-Fi works just fine without the stupid 'Wi-Fi Manager', which obviously only exists to ensure that Google Play Services is running.

Here is my solution- use a firewall.
Leave Google Play Services running, but block internet access for it.

Disable whatever Google crap you can, and block whatever you can't.

I block apps I have disabled as well, because that is how much I trust Google.

The firewall operates via the VPN api on Android, and only allows internet access to what you choose.

Only one app can access the VPN api at a time on a single device.
However, you can set up more than one profile on a single device, and run a separate VPN api on each.
