How do I report spam sent to my phone? Thanks
Droid X on 4.5.596.MB8210Verizon.en.US - Android version 2.3.3
Would you mind elaborating? How is the spam getting to your phone?
We were talking about spam posted in the forum here. I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but if it was, the report button mentioned above is now available in the phandroid app in the market.

I didn't recognize this thread was about spam here in androidforum. I was trying to discover how to/if you could report Spam received on your phone. My fault since I should have seen hit thebutton that has been mentioned a few times.![]()
Sorry, my misunderstanding

Thought so
You might want to post in the Android Applications section and ask about call/SMS filtering apps. There are quite a few around, I imagine one of them could help you with your problem.

I don't, no. I know I used one a long while back for a short period, but I can't remember it's name unfortunately.

I'll do that. Thanks for your ideas. Do you have preference of a call/SMS filtering app or which one you think is best.
Thanks again![]()
No problem. I am concerned with spam getting into my Droid's mailbox and "reporting" that much more than anything in a MMS or SMS.
Gmail seems to have a very good filtering system. Any AOL email alerts I get on my Droid X that turn out to be Spam I'll just have to report via AOL on my computer.
Thanks again
Have you considered using AOL via gmail? You can have gmail poll emails from your AOL account (or have AOL forward them to gmail, which is quicker), as well as setting up gmail to send emails via your AOL email address. That way everything you get will go through gmail's spam filters.
I set up my gmail account accordingly yesterday & next thing I knew my gmail account was receiving over 400 emails from my AOL account
Evidently gmail "polled" or imported EVERYTHING - AOL New Mail, mail "kept as new" and Old mail that had I had already seen but not deleted.
I figure whatever spam sneaks onto my phone via My Accounts, that is actually spam from AOL, I'll just have to report that spam to AOL & add it to the Spam Folder on AOL.
