So whats the deal with the SPB Shell. I tried it out the other day and I have no idea why anyone would ever pay 15 bux for it. What am I missing? Is it because I dont have a 3d phone? The inability to resize widgets alone make this app not for me..

It wasn't my cup of tea either. I was lucky enough to find that out in the 15 minute window so I got my money back. I feel sorry for others who haven't been as fortunate.
 
It's been around for a while on other platforms. I first saw it on WinMobile 6.1 and while it was a big bag of eye candy, it wasn't very useful.
 
I do agree w/ you on that; mostly eye candy. I switch to it every now and then; but always come back to Zeam. It does have a few cool widgets.
