Would it help to be able to find MSL?

On the LG Volt, you should be able to determine the meid number. Go to settings/about phone/update center.
The whiterabbit link above seems only for Metro PCS phones.

There is a poster at the above link who may be able to decipher msl froim meid on any lg phone (any carrier).
I currently use Ring Plus as a provider and on my home page (on line) it lists everything including the MSL If you can't access it this way, perhaps a friendly call to your service provider will get you the MSL number. If the first agent isn't cooperative, call back again until you get what you need.

I read somewhere to ask for advanced technical support, tell them that you need it to change your call slot 2 to 0.......I don't know what that means and didn't find an explaination.

I guess a good question would be, how to capture the MSL code from a new Virgin mobile phone??
Their sending me an upgrade from Tribute to the Volt by this next weekend. I would like to have this figured out so I can move onto my next project. (Yah!! OCD

This might help.
You can download an app called shortcut master. Open the app and click search.
Type in ChameleonNodeMenu and hit search. After you've found it, tap it and click launch. Scroll down to DiagMSLRequest. Press GET and you should see 1 in the Value Box. Erase the 1 and type 0 then tap set. Try ##DIAG# again and it shouldn't ask for MSL. Now connect to CDMA Workshop or Basic Flasher to retrieve your MSL. PROFIT!!! This is not my work/find. I don't remember where I found it but, it worked on my Volt and Tribute. Hope this helps someone. I also posted this at xda on the thread posted above!!
