Help Speaker phone turns on when auxiliary is unplugged.

Hey everyone, new here, but I've had my Droid X since September.

When I have my phone in the car dock, I plug in the auxiliary cable to connect it to my stereo to listen to music from the phone through the car speakers. When I unplug the phone to get out of my car, it seems that unplugging the auxiliary cable causes the speaker to automatically turn on. Is there any way of setting it up so that this does not happen? Or at least is there an easier way of turning the speaker off other than initiating a call and pressing the speaker button, then quickly hanging up? Thanks everyone!

Are you running any apps that can trigger things for you, like AutomateIt or Tasker?

I am experiencing the same issue. It has something to do with the dock and aux input. When I have headphones in and unplug them, it doesn’t turn on, just when it comes out of the car dock.

I have not found a solution yet... I have to initiate a call to turn off the speaker. I can't find a setting to turn it off manually.

I am not running AutomateIt or Tasker...

I've had this issue with my Moto car dock/music app as well, never happens when I use headphones.

The only way I've been successful to not have it get stuck in speaker mode is to remove the phone from the dock prior to unplugging the aux cable. Obviously it is an issue with the dock mode, just not sure why?

This happens to me as well. I have the multimedia dock and listen to music all day. I found if I pause the music, un-dock, then let it re-orient the screen then pull the audio jack I'll be okay.
