Another resort could be doing a factory reset on the device.
Also depending on your carrier some companies do not care if the device is rooted/ROMed, unless they can determine that rooting the device caused the damage.
can't take battery out, it's an evo lte, and I'm rooted, unlocked so probably can't take it in unless there's a way to unroot,relock. I even recovered to stock and still no go. rooting might have broke it.
