Help Speakerphone stops working.

Looking for help for my mobile phone Samsung Galaxy A6.
Problem: I regularly use my phone with the speaker activated so that family members can also participate. After a few minutes I can still hear the caller but they cannot hear me unless I turn off the speaker and hold the phone to my ear. Sometimes it works as it should, other times it reacts as mentioned above.
Has anybody have an idea what could cause this problem.

have you tried rebooting your phone? it might be a hardware issue. maybe take the phone in to your carrier and see what they say.

Thanks for suggestion to restart but that is the first thing I tried, with no result.

try rebooting the device, go to settings check volume is max. if it doesn't work its most likely a hardware issue of your speakers.
