Speakerphone weird issue

Hello all. first post on forums and new maxx owner. love the phone having upgraded from a slower bionic. having a weird issue with the speaker. when i am on a call and switch to the speaker, it is at first distorted and hard to understand. after a while, it almost seems it is self adjusting itself and becomes clear and the right volume. before i did a reset i noticed this on the earpiece too. calls were distorted at first. any ideas? i have seen some previous posts that this is an issue with the touchless controls.

I have not noticed this before myself. The issue with touchless controls, as I understand it, is different from what you describe - it is that the recent update to Android 4.4.4 turned off the ability for touchless controls to automatically use the speakerphone when you place a call by voice command, which is an odd function reversion (and probably just a bug.)

I wish I could help otherwise - I've not had the problem you describe.
 
I believe I have narrowed it down to two settings. One being the audio effects. the other being voice privacy. both I have disabled and it seems to have helped. I am still noticing an auto kind of adjust on the volume for the speaker which is really strange. i think with the audio effects enable and by default it is set for "bass boost" i think it was making the speaker calls distorted in some instances. I am probably not making any sense and i know it is my OCD but things like this really bug me.
