Specific ruler app?

[PokerFoam]

I was wondering, by chance is there a ruler app that figures out a measurement by points? The way I mean is that you move the phone to an area, press a button, and it records a point in space. Then you do it again in another area and it figures out a measurement based on the difference between the two points.

Thanks in advance for reading.

Short distances or long distances? GPS is not accurate enough to measure anything under 20 feet or so and would be even less accurate indoors.

Google maps has the ability to measure the distance between two points on a map. (in a straight line or road miles)

I know there was something like that on my iPhone 3Gs, it used the motion sensors to estimate the distances. Not sure if there's something like that for Android, but maybe search for motion ruler or something.

Yeah I was saying small distance.

Smart tools may have something for you, but none of these things will really be as accurate as a real ruler. the best you might get would be to get an actual ruler in the screen.
