Speech to text app

Hi,
I was wondering if a speech to text app had been created that would enable the user to speak into the phone and the phone would take the words in write them as a text file. The phone that I would like to know if this would be possible on is the samsung galaxy s.

Vocanote is similar. Sends a text message or email rather than writing to a file

I am trying to determine if someone has been able to get a voice to text solution to write text into a cell on a excel/quickoff spreadsheet on a galaxy tablet. i have seen it work on laptops but not a tablet.
