Help Speech to Text button

For some reason, the Handwriting function/button replaced the button I used to press to have the voice-to-speech function within the default texting app. I've held my finger on it thinking I just need to reassign that button next to the space bar, but the microphone to activate speech to text isn't there anymore. I have no clue how to turn it back! Thanks in advance for any/all help!

If you are using the samsung keyboard try long pressing for setting and choose reset setting at bottom.

Alternatively go to settings > language input> hit the cog next to samsung keyboard and select reset settings from bottom.

I could not get my keyboard to replace the mic with handwrite though.

Didn't seem to work. I also cleared any input cache for the keyboard too through the app manager- still nothing. The handwriting just replaced the microphone icon. Any other tips anyone have?

Get your keyboard up > press and hold the key in the bottom row next to the 'Sym' key and you should get a pop-up > select the microphone symbol.
