Speech to text into Mail app?

I have an Alcatel U5, Android 7.
I found a speech to text app in Play Store called just that, written by Aman Khosa, which has a good response to my voice, very few errors. My speech is saved to a file but I wanted to know if I could get that file into the Mail app, and if so, how?
My loss of mobility is making it necessary to try to get speech to text working as typing is painful.
Is there an app like this that will allow the saved file to be 'pasted' into a mail program?

Google assistant will record your voice and send it as an email using your Gmail

Thanks Dannydet, I was vaguely aware if this but I'm trying to get out of Google's clutches, if that is possible even! Which is why I was looking for an 'independant' option.
I will have a closer look at it though.
