Apps Speech to text issue in developing android app

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Android development and developing an app which includes speech to text conversion.
When I run my code on the emulator, it gives the error 'Recognizer not present'. I am using platform 1.5.
Please let me know what could be the reason?

I also have the same problem I get the message "Recognizer not present" when using the 2.1 SDK with the emulator. A lot of people seem to have had this problem. Could someone please provide a solution.
