Speedmod kernel for JB

Speedmod was a cracking kernel on GB.
Didn't get quite the same popularity on ICS mostly due to Siyah, but still was a great kernel on that platform too.

Now it seems hardcore has spread his wings to JB
I shall be giving this one a pop methinks...

Another great release from hardcore, at least judging (albeit it prematurely) on a days use.

In true speed mod style this kernel is pared down and striped back to the minimum. It's very snappy and silky smooth.

There's the usual lack of features and lack of ability for the user to customise, so no tweaking, no bln etc but that's how it's intended to minimize battery drain and maximise stability. No force closures or lack of boot with this baby.

It's been tweaked by the Dev, can't find a list of what settings he uses, but judging by cpu spy it seems cpu frequency maxed to 800.

Even on first day it seems battery is at least matching siyah. Will give it a further few days to judge but may go back to siyah just for bln. The Dev will never add it to his kernel.

I'd switch to Speedmod if it had BLN, which I use a lot. As you say Syd, it will never be added by the dev as this baby is stripped down to the bone.

Highly recommend this kernel if you want great battery life and no fart arsing around with any settings. :thumbup:
