Not sure about your spell-checker question...I think I would do a search in the Google Play Market for "spell checker" and review the plethora of options. The first entry I found, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidsx.checkspelling looks like it might it fit your criteria.

Hi All, just got my self a tablet so new to this world and need help! I am looking for a spell checker that works on all my apps (Facebook, office apps etc) any suggestions or help.
