What app is she currently using for emails? If she can use that to export her email addresses to a csv file, if she accesses her gmail account via a PC, she can import the csv so the next time she peforms a contact sync on the phone, they should appear.

Manmy thanks for your reply, sh eis using Ourlook express for her eails as this is what she has on he laptop so it makes senses for he rto stick with this.
I am amazed how difficult it seems to be to simply store her email address contacts in this device, as every thing else seems to be working so well with all her other contacts, but for this problem of email addresses!

I've not used outlook in an age, although I'm sure there is an option to export contact. Once exported, the file can be imported in to her gmail account.
1. Open her gmail account on a PC
2. Click Contacts
3. Click More
4. Import
5. Select file
6. Perform a contact sync on her phone
7. Profit!
