Help Spirit Issues...

SNLHERO

Lurker
I like the Spirit, but it has a few issues that are driving me mad... 1st the blue tooth constantly connects and reconnects. 2nd the phone always starts randomly deleting my texts while I'm swiping to text, and I have to start all over. 3rd it has no led light indicator which sucks... Besides that, its ok.

I haven't has any BT issues. I think you might just have big fingers. Though i never use swipe.. Most phones don't have Led Light Indicators. didn't you realize when you went to buy it that it didn't have one? The LG Esteem has an LED and to be truthful i never paid attention to it. I don't even miss having one.

with the BT make sure that the BT device you are using is the right version.

I have no Bluetooth issues, and the random text deleting is an ICS thing. You gotta watch how many times you hit the back button, or change to a JB keyboard/aftermarket. Also, if LED was important to you then you should have bought a phone with one. Have you tried NoLED? Its an on screen LED app.

Roger that!

Smart keyboard and NoLED are The Bombs for the Spirit. I gots da JellyBeener texter on My Spirit. :p

I haven't done any Brutoofin' yet.

Thanks, but I was referring to how to read the bluetooth version directly from the phone. Both the phone and the earpiece are 3.0, but like the previous poster, the phone drops the connection on occasion. This earpiece was used with my previous phone and never dropped out.

I haven't had any BT issues with this phone. I use to get dropped connections on the Esteem.

I had Bluetooth, wifi and gps issues with the old spirit. I did a warranty exchange because of the gps and the new one works much better. Every couple days it'll still drop the Bluetooth connection tho. Even when the phone is a few feet away. Before it happened several times a day.

maybe you guys just have cheep BT devices I wall all around my house using the BT with the phone sitting on my desk and it never cuts out

Have issue of text not always appearing in the text field as I'm typing. Apps closing at random and ram usage extremely high.

I have SmartKeyboard and NoLED on my Spirit.

Never had an issue with a variety of BT devices.

That could be caused low end apps. I get this to if I download some apps on play store. There not written well and will leave itself in memory even when not running and cause hi memory and CPU usage and drain battery. And even cause random closing of apps

only problem i've had is once in a while i have to hit the dial button a bunch of times to call someone. its like hit the button, buzz, wait.... hih hit hit hit hit hit, ah there it goes. about once a week. haven't bt yet, i just use a wired earbud tucked in through my shirt whn im at work.

I to am having the Blue Tooth issue with my Spirit and my wife is with her Motion....Did you ever figure out a fix?

I successfully transferred multiple files through Bluetooth when I had the motion. But couldn't do it with my Spirit. Thank goodness for cloud storage.

Well, I got a new bluetooth headset to see if it would work properly with the Spirit. It's the Plantronics Voyager Pro HD.

It worked fine for a couple of days, then the voice dialer would no longer activate. Cold booting the phone, unpairing/pairing, power cycle the headset, nothing works. This means two different models of headset exhibit two different sets of symptoms, and neither work correctly.

Update: So this morning, without any intervention other than powering down the headset overnight, it's working again and correctly activates the voice dialer. Go figure.
