SplashID & HTC not Syncing Wireless

Desktop Sync does NOT work with HTC phones (at least the 3 that I've owned)

This makes me so sad. I used to love SplashID and SplashData and their products back in the day on my palm. I used it for over 10 years on palm and their support for that was great. They STINK with Android support.

It sees the desktop but doesn't sink. Over 8 months and no resolution. Has anyone found a way to get this to work or perhaps is there a file I can move over to my phone.

I love this app but I'm just about to quit on it and see if anything can import my SplashID data and give me similar functionality. I've been on Android for 3 years now and this and the lack of a Pocket Quicken are the only things I truly truly miss.

Note: I had it running fine on fine on my Droid X but since I got the HTC Rezound its been no dice.

My ridiculously painful current solution is as follows. Boot my Droid X. Sync over wifi. Do a Titanium Backup. Grab the SplashID backup from that microsd card. Copy it onto my Rezound. Restore.
 
That's simply not true. I have used SplashID with my last 3 phones, all HTC : Rezound, Thunderbolt, and Incredible with no issues. Only problem is if you use a Desktop version that doesn't match what's on your device. Using Norton Internet Security 2010, 2011, and 2012 on the laptop, BTW.

Desktop client version: 5.3.4

Phone OS: Gingerbread 2.3.4
 
I'm using the 6.0.x versions. I have no experience running the 5.3.4 version on Gingerbread, but the pair did work on Froyo. I'd suspect firewall settings on the desktop, or if both desktop and phone are running wireless, make sure your access point isn't isolating wifi clients from each other (some do by default... Kinda screwy).
 
It sees the desktop I hit start sync the desktop looks like it does see it then it returns a screen with :
Sync Failed

Oh well I'll just keep doing it the tedious way until another proposed app comes through.
 
At the time just before I upgraded to the 6.0 client, I do remember seeing something similar to what you describe, but it appeared related to some difference in encryption between the desktop and the client which I assumed splash would eventually sort out. I didn't feel like screwing with it so I looked at the alternatives and their $10 upgrade was still better than anything else out there, so I took the bait and upgraded and the problem resolved itself. (I know this somewhat contradicts what I said earlier... Your description jogged my memory)
 
I'm having the same trouble and before I pull out my hair and gnash my teeth, can someone tell me whether I have compatible versions? Ver 6 on both Evo 3D and windows 7...

*sigh*

Palm was so effortless.
 
Should work... Firewall? Also, some routers block wireless clients from connecting to each other.
 
Using an iPod is really painful workaround for the SplashData problem solving rate.

Gotta get a Droid big enough to see (yes, getting old) and manage my passwords MAC OS 10.5 to fm Pad. WiFi sync still fails.

Does Splah work with any Droid Pads?

If so, which Droid pads?
