Help Split Merged Calls

Hello All,

I have an S3 from verizon and i got this phone because i played around with a friends S3 and it had 2 important features for me. 1 being to search emails ( something i couldnt do on Razr Maxx ) and 2 being able to SPLIT yes SPLIT a merged call so i can disconnect only one of the parties. I tested this myself on his phone and it worked great. so i ran out and bought it. when i recieved my phone from verizon, the option to split the merged call is not there. my friends phone is on the sprint ( i think ) network....so my question is, if its on his phone why cant i have it on mine? will jailbreaking the phone give me that option or is there an App that anyone knows about that can do that?

i forgot to add, im running 4.0.4, my phone model is SCH-I535.

Welcome to AF, vpresti!
It may be as simple as the different carriers including different features on their versions of that phone. It might be worth a call to VZW's technical department, to see if there is some way it can be enabled.

BTW, I have moved this thread into the SGS3 forum (American version), as it was mistakenly posted in the SGS3 forum (Australian version) originally.
