Splitting up phone numbers

Hi, quick question.
Installed the cupcake update recently, and I've just realised how it splits up phones numbers like 012-345-67890. I don't like it. How can I get rid of it?

Cheers, Luke

OOHH !! never seen an 11 digit phone number (where you from ?) most numbers in the US are 10 digits ...

Haha, that's trippy. Anyway, you can download an application to format your numbers if I'm not mistaken. You might want to Google it as I'm not very sure of the name of it.

Ah, nevermind I just Googled it myself because I think I will use it aswell. Check out Android Contacts Clean Up, it might do the trick for you.

If not, just look for other ones. I'm sure they're out there.

I tried cleaning up contact numbers one time, and it had an odd effect.

Numbers where I'd removed the plus sign were no longer recognized as a contact on my phone. Luckily I know my brother's phone number by heart now, so I knew it was him, even though my phone didn't show him as a contact.

So I've decided that for whatever reason, my phone numbers shall remain a mess in order to keep my phone remembering who they are! LOL
