Is there any app that would make a mobile device appear to be a desktop?
Some mobile apps leave a lot to be desired for me. The PC version seems to have more info.

Sometimes I can just get rid of the m for mobile, or the mobile web page will have desktop/classic view on the bottom of the page.

Do you really mean "apps", or do you mean web pages? I ask as there's a *big* difference. If it's the latter, you van get away with changing what's called the "user agent". The user agent is how your browser identifies itself to the webpage, vans then the site shows the info in a layout that's been predetermined. In as mobile browser, you can typically adjust that in the settings.

Just found user agent in the browser.

It annoys me when I can't get to a site when I get the mobile version.

I can get scores from some websites on the PC, but if I use the phone or tablet, they want a Verizon account. That doesn't bother me for the actual game - V and whoever signed a deal - but the damn scores? I can get this on the PC.

Yahoo is a PITA with the mobile version, I don't like Play in the mobile version, either.
It's easier to check what an app wants to update on the PC.

FWIW, I don't think Chrome will allow you to change once and leave it, but other browsers typically do
