Spotify and mobile data

I apologise if there is already a thread related to this.

I have a HTC Sensation on Vodafone in the UK, and I was wondering if anybody could give me a good idea of how much mobile data would be used if I streamed music via Spotify for about 30 mins?

I get 500mb allowance a month, but Ive never really used more than around 200mb in one month, so I wanted to know how much I would realistically be able to use Spotify for streaming music, and whether its worth using up my allowance.

Thanks for any and all help.

Greetings Gaz15,

I came across the Verizon data calculator that returned a value of about 450 mb a month for streaming 15 min a day.

Data Calculator

This is will probably vary depending on the quality of the music being streamed.

Hope this helps.

Thanks T.M.M.L, that site is actually very useful. Unfortunately it tallied up an amount thats over my monthly usage :( haha.

In regards to Megapixle, I wanted to know about the data as the main times I would be using Spotify I would be out somewhere without access to wifi. If only we could access wifi every where haha.

Raven_go - Thanks, I saw that some apps had this feature but didn't know you could do that on Spotify, I'll give that a go. Thank you :)

Should work if it don't there are other music apps which deft do, while your at it, see if it saves downloaded songs to sd card, I know napster does that

After all that effort, it seems cause I downloaded the Spotify app a few days ago, it must of just given me a free 48hour trial or premium or somethin, so I was unable to download the playlist like you said :(. I found a similar app though called Deezer, which did have that feature to download playlists for offline play, could find the files on my sd card though.

Thanks for your help anyway :)
