spots under the screen

All of the sudden these spots have appeared under the screen. My tablet has not been dropped and you can see these spot even if the tablet is turned off.

Thanks Brian, and I'm sure that they aren't scratches. I removed my screen protector to check and I didn't feel anything. They just showed up all of a sudden. It would make sense if I dropped it or caused some other damage, but nothing that I could think of could have caused it. I have a BobjGear case on it and a Supershieldz screen protector.
 
Maybe provoked by overheating? Did the tablet get really hot lately while using? Could be glue or something?
