Root [Sprint] 2 EXACT SAME Rooted Phones - One GPS is Messed Up??

scudder

Hi Everyone....

I have two HTC ONE M7 phones...EXACTLY the same make, model....same method of rooting....same ROM. Matter of fact, I "cloned" my original phone to the new HTC ONE that I got. Bought at store, rooted it, then flashed a NAND backup from my old HTC ONE and was up and running with same EVERYTHING on both phones.

Anyway, should have both phones with exact same everything running exactly the same! Well, have a little issue with GPS...

On my new phone, GPS doesn't seem to lock in as well as my original phone. I was just driving with both and using GPS on my new phone and was jumping around and "in"-accurate up to 30 (thirty) meters (as high as 1300 meters at one point!) My other (original) phone was accurate....up to only 3 (three) meters.

Same phone, same settings, same ROM, same everything. Same data and cell signals as I was driving.

The ONLY difference/issue is that my NEW phone is "cloned" as I explained above. Could that be causing a GPS issue?? If not, is there any way to try and fix what I'm experiencing?? Can I reflash just the "underlying OS shell" (for lack of a better word) or am I going to erase what I've done with the phone since installation in doing so??

Thank you!

could be different Radio because of different firmware versions

Interesting. Where would I find firmware version info??

Also, if I am having issues with the GPS, is there a way to "fix" it?? Or is it kinda just associated with the "guts" of the phone and nothing I can do??

Thanks!

check in settings/about phone and look at the build number. if it is the same on both phones, then they are both using the same firmware.

do yuo have an active sim in both phones?
