To Avoid the $4.99 fee you could always get a prepaid visa or mastercard and use that to sign up for Automatic Payment on your sprint account.
it does not have to be connect to your bank account.

So, our account is one with a spending limit ... your telling me i can break my contract and not have to pay out? We signed up a few months ago.

Guess no one actually READ the letter. The way to avoid the charge is by getting on their auto pay program which takes from your credit card every month and pays your bill. Not a big deal for someone like me who is on an everything plan and I pay the same amount every month.
