Sprint 4G LTE Issue

My Galaxy S3 is finally picking up a 4G lte signal in my area, but when I do a speed test I get around 1472kbps download speed and 426kbps upload speed. Why am I getting such pathetic speeds on a 4G lte network ?

I'm finally picking up a 4G signal, consistently; but, the speeds I'm getting are pathetic. 1472 kbps for download and 426 kbps for upload. I don't understand?

Hi, I merged your posts since they were duplicates. There are tons of factors that could influence it: Bad signal, too many users, indoors, network completion status & fine tuning, etc.

Hi Slice,
LTE is still coming on-line for Sprint users and the all towers are still being fine tuned. Just give it time and your unlimited plan that only Sprint offers will pay for it self soon enough. Also might be a good idea to make sure you do a PRL update and make sure you update data profile as well

settings-system update-

update PRL
Update profile
and check the others as well.

Also use this link to check the status of LTE in your market/area

SurrealOne's advise is good, make sure you do the PRL & Profile updates then run the test using the SpeedTest.net app.

They are still tinkering here as well, there are areas I get the results you experienced but others (the ones that went online first) I have pushed almost 9k both directions.
