Sprint 4G LTE

I heard that sprint will be getting 4g LTE soon. The LG viper will have it. Will all other 4g wimax phones on sprint switch to LTE? Is LTE that much faster then sprint's current wimax network? Thanks in advance.

The Sprint wimax phones will not work on the new 4g LTE network. It looks like 4G LTE is coming to my hometown first. Here is a link to Sprints announcement and they also are showing the Galaxy Nexus as an option.

WiMax phones will become obsolete as Sprint transitions from WiMax to LTE.

LTE is much faster than WiMax, yes.

The 4G WIMAX phones will not work on the upcoming 4G LTE network,but,existing 4G WIMAX will be supported until 2015.
