Sprint.com shipping EVO via UPS ground?

Well, I'm a bit pissed.

Purchased the EVO 3D on sprint.com since the Sprint store rep told me to order online to avoid the "activation/upgrade fee" and that I'd get it shipped "next day air".

Sent in my order today (Monday morning). UPS tracking says "3-day Select" and won't be scheduled to arrive until Thursday "by end of day".

I heard everyone else got theirs UPS Next Day. Maybe 'cause they were Premier members and I'm not? Or is this normal for sprint.com shipping?

hi, no its not normal for sprint shipping however they can use any shipping method they desire.

on your invoice what shipping service did you pay for? Also if your billing address/shipping address is so close to their hub they may chose to use ground shipping.

so in closing, its not standard practice for them to use Ground for the majority of orders. it also does not matter if you are premier or not.

I would reach out to a SP mod at the sprint premier forum and/or send CS a call OR contact telesales and have them explain.

I was told that I should expect mine between 2 and 5 business days. I ordered it last Wednesday and it was not next day air. However I actually received it the next day (Thursday). From what I understand they have to tell you that in case there is some kind of delay, but every time I have ordered phones online or through telesales I have received them the next day. I don't know if it has to do with what part of the country you are in or what but I have also read here that most others here received theirs the next day, with a few exceptions.

I ordered my second 3VO for my wifey on Monday. It's scheduled to be delivered today. Sorry you're getting 3 day delivery. The UPS tracking info is usually pretty accurate.

I have Gold Premier status with Sprint and they also shipped my phone UPS Ground. It took 3 or 4 business days for me to receive it. It may be their new standard in shipping. Nothing to do with premier status obviously! All my other phones before this one, I used to get them the next business day.
