Root [Sprint/Cricket] Did basic root, now phone has an update waiting...

Apparently, 4.1.2. is now available. What is the normal method for updating to 4.1.2. from 4.1.1 after doing the basic root. I did not install any custom roms, etc. Just installed Tether.

You can just flash the rooted stock update and the firmware updates available on xda and you should be all set.

589 pages to the thread you recommended and I have NO idea what to do.....
Can I unroot? Do the update, and re-root? I do not want to reinstall all my apps...

You can also just flash the stock recovery and take the OTA. You'll have to reinstall your custom recovery after (and may have to flash the SU files from recovery to make sure its all still kosher)
