Root [Sprint/Cricket] During rooting, Wrong recovery

Zumaki

Android Enthusiast
I tried to root my new phone that I just bought today, and when I got to the step that says to install the .zip from ClockWorkMod Recovery, I got stuck. It boots to recovery, but it says "Android System Recovery <3e>" instead. I get no option to install a .zip from sd through this recovery.

Please tell me there's a workaround. I need my old app data!

download this file and placing it on the root of the internal storage
http://k0nane.info/rom/ecm/CWM-Recovery-LTE-SGS3-Sprint-v5.zip

then try installing this file http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1148060&d=1340384923 via odin (in the pda section with only f. reset time checked)

then install the team epic via the cwm recovery.

The video ill link next has some old files in it, but the process is the exact same
