Root [Sprint/Cricket] Flashing the stock rooted rom

Hello all,

I've been out of the rooting game for a while, I rooted my SGS3, flashed CM and haven't really messed with it for a long time. I want to flash the latest stock rom which I've found Here but I'm not sure what to do with it...lol. I know it's a noob question, but what exactly do I need to flash to use this rom but keep root? Do I need to flash the Kernel and firmware or can I just flash the rom? Thanks for the help.

Welcome to the S3 forums! The kernels are always baked into roms so you don't have to worry about flashing a kernel alongside flashing a rom. All you have to do is boot into recovery, nandroid backup, factory reset, then flash the rom. Nothing more is needed. If you want to flash the latest firmware, you can but isn't required. That's more so for signal strength in certain areas. LIF (an unreleased build) modems work better than LJ7 in my area.

Hopefully this helps.
