Hello all! I bought the evo 4g when it first came out and used it until a few days ago. Recenty was given a galaxy s3 a few days ago. Yes of course I rooted it. Now I need rom suggestions, I know everyone asks. I'm looking for a touchwiz rom that still has the samsung features as Im new to it. Definitely something customizable. 4.2 would be nice but not required. whatcha guys got?

Hopefully some of my old evo friends are here.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard! I had the EVO for a while as well.

If you want 4.2 its going to have to be AOSP. I like liquidsmooth or cm10.1

For touchwiz ROMS I'd recommend Mother Of All Roms (MOAR) or The Peoples Rom (TPR)

Thank you all. I ended up flashing moar. Over whelmed at the amount of customizations it has. A lot has changed since the evo 4g. I feel like I'm missing out on a ton of features that I don't know about. Still learning on the galaxy. Overall knowledge of roms and kernels hasn't changed.

Kernel selection for TW is limited anyway. However, you can never go wrong with using one of KToonsez's kernels. Guy spits out hot fire! :p

My phone doesn't seem to play very well with kt. I use either anthrax or stock if TW or either BMS or dkp if AOSP

When it comes to kernels every phone is different. You just have to find what works for you

Well I ended up flashing kt kernel during my lunch break at work. So far good. Fast as hell. Well see what happens .

Cheers!
