Hello forum, I apologize as this is an easy questions for you guys but I wanted to install Jellybean 4.2... on my sprint gs3. I originally rooted with the odin ??? and used it primarily for wifi tether. However, I keep getting these damn system updates from sprint and it goes into the bootloader and when it is flashing my device my andriod robot fall dead with his stomach hanging out with some checksum failure or something. I love the jellybean features and would like to install it. Sorry I am not computer wiz. May someone direct me how to install a rom and kernel??? I also can go into the bootloader.

I moved your thread into the Sprint Root forum for your device.
Do you wish to take the OTA update? I don't think 4.2 is available yet for the U.S. carriers but 4.1.2. is. Is that what you meant?
You can also find a custom rom with the newest updates baked into them.
I highly recommend doing that vs. taking the OTA update, but that's just my preference
