Root [Sprint/Cricket] Strange happenings.

Hi!
I have a Galaxy S3, which was originally built for CREDO, (meaning there is no removable SD card) and then flashed for use with metro PCS.

My mproblems are two:

1: I can't open MMS (multimedia messages,) Since it always says, "Download failed"

2: I constantly get messages from everyone in a particular contact group, that they did not send, meaning there is some kind of auto messaging going on, possibly fro and yet I still get messages from everyone in the group.

Please see the screen shot, and feel free to chime in! It's really frustrating.

Yes. here is a screen shot.
Note there is no "mobile packet" or "APN"option.

So if your data works that's good have you ever been able to send a pic?
Have you tried 3rd party messaging apps?

No. It cannot send or receive MMS messages.


what is the third party app you recommend?

I use a couple hangouts is one go SMS handcent are some of the more popular ones

Looking at the screen shot your Wi-Fi is turned on. What happens if Wi-Fi is tuned off? Do you still get Data, able to get to the internet?
