Root [Sprint/Cricket] Unroot before returning?

This is all hypothetical.

If I were to purchase a SG3, root it, and then decide before 14 days to return it... would I need to unroot it first? Particularly if I were to install a custom ROM? Or does Sprint bat a blind eye?

Would be the best to unroot. I think it's very simple to do, so I wouldn't sweat it.

I just unrooted mine a few hrs ago just in case I do take it back to swap it out for the 32gb. Was not hard at all just follow video provided.
