[Sprint] Going from zImage to flashable .zip? (kernel development)

Hey fellas :)

My S3 had to go back to sammy for repairs, so I've been rocking a GNex again and playing around with building kernels for it.

I can build no problem, but does anyone know how you get from the resulting zImage to a flashable .zip (via boot.img)?

I know I can just fastboot the zImage but I'd like to learn the "proper" way

Anyone have experience here?

Yeah it pretty much is unfortunately. Maybe ask in the Verizon Gnex its a little more lively plus it should be the same process since kernels are cross carrier.

I got this awhile ago, but I figure I'll post it up anyway:

There's a version of koushes AnyKernel you can use

Super simple, running my own kernel
