Root [Sprint] Hotspot, wiimote, mirroring?

Hello
I just got and rooted my N2. Im looking for some direction in getting hotspot, wiimote (or other controller) and hdmi mirroring working on this device. Ive gotten some of these things working before on other devices but being new to samsung im not sure where to start. Hoping for rom/kernel recommendations and hardware requirements. Im rooted but still on stock right now. I d/l-ed jellybomb and may flash it tonight. I have a mhl adapter id like to get working too. Any help or links would be really great. Thanks for anything.
 
You can get hotspot/tethering with TreveMod app. I know you can find it baked into a lot custom Roms. I believe you can also find the TreveMod by itself. Search over at xda forums in the GNote2 forums.

Sorry I cant help with the other stuff.
 
Aces! Wireless tether is working great. Thanks so much, guys! Now for controllers and hdmi mirroring. I know its been done. Somebodys gotta have some info! When ive had mirroring working on other devices I had to find a kernel that supported it. Anyone know if we have one yet? On to controllers, I found the Sixaxis app on playstore but no ps3 ctrlr yet. Anyone know which if any wiimote apps work for us? Again, thanks a ton for any info you can share!
 
Wow. This forum is a coma ward. I came from the Evo 4g and then 3d forums that had a ton more traffic and support. Come on guys. I gotta believe some of you reading this thread know something. We need a GN2 version of Ocnbrze. That dude knows eveything. We should make a donate fund to buy him an N2. Mikestony too. We need people like that around here. This place is SLOW. Please, please. Share the wealth. Controllers and FULL hdmi mirroring. Please!!!!!!!

I hear ya. I moved over from the OG evo as well and am surprised at how dead this forum is for the note 2. Wish I could give you a little more help on the mirroring and hdmi but I just dont have a use for it yet. My suggestion is to check out xda.
 
Absolutely. I have an account on XDA as well, but I generally refrain from asking too many questions over there, if you know what I mean.

I'll be sure to update this thread with my results to help others.
 
Ok, so it looks like we have mirroring enabled right out of the box. From my reading it looks like a lot of people have trouble getting it to work. I was even told you had to have a Samsung MHL to hdmi adapter. This is not true. You do, however, need to have the newer 11 pin MHL as our N2s have an 11 pin port. There are several available aside from Samsungs and also 5 pin to 11 pin adapters that can get your old 5 pin MHL adapter working with S3 and Note2.

So thats 2 out of 3! Now I just need info on controllers. Im going to use a wiimote and hopefully classic controllers first as I dont own a PS3. If all goes well with the wiimote I will probably get a ps3 ctrlr to test as well. Im going to dig into a few posts and check some play store apps but in the meantime if anyone could shed some light that would be much appreciated.
 
This was also much easier than I was trying to make it. The first app I tried worked great. (Wiimote Controller) I hope to pick up a ps3 ctrlr soon to do it right but im very pleased to have it all running.
