Sprint Jellybean Update - Rollout Begins 10/25!

Anyone going to try to force the upgrade using the GOOGLE SERVICES FRAMEWORK trick?
 
Ok, supposedly the rollout starts today... I want to see who got it to see if this is a random update or is by coast. Take a pic and or videos I want to see how it looks too...

I cant even sleep because Im hoping to be the first one...(unlikely)

is this what your speaking of ( i borrowed from another post)??

1)Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Application Manager’ and select the ‘All’ tab
2)Scroll down to ‘Google Service Framework’ and first ‘Clear data’
3)Then, ‘Force Stop’ the application (order is important)
4)Go back then From ‘Settings’ scroll down to the bottom to ‘System Update’
5)Select it and then select ‘Update Firmware’
6)Jelly Bean update then starts - If it doesn't start then repeat steps 1 to 5. It will eventually update so just bear with it.

i did the for my son's nexus s and it worked on the 2nd try ... is there any danger in trying this with the S3?

Tried this about 6-7 times and nothing. Also on Sprint and other local Sprint employee's have confirmed.

it worked when i tried it previously with the nexus s 4g (sprint). who knows - maybe it was just a coincidence. i've googled it though and many report it has worked. no luck for me today though

There's the difference. Nexus OTA updates come from Google not Sprint.
 
That's not quite true. If you've followed Verizon and sprints nexus devices lately you'll know they just recently got jellybean. Sprint and Verizon held the update back even though the other nexus brands had theirs months earlier
 
When you get the OTA notice that you are getting the JB update, please post the date and state you are in. This will help us assess the spread of JB.

2. updates are sent randomly based on S/N not by region
 
I don't think I've ever seen an OTA rolled out by customer location. Please correct me of I'm wrong, but I think that information is rather meaningless.
 
I didn't get the update yet and probably won't for a while. I didn't buy my phone till August. But I did get LTE in the Chicago burbs this week.
