Sprint - LightSquared deal

what company was sprint talking to about replacing Clear... and get sprint up with LTE 4G? was it Lightsquared? I dont get it

yea, it was LightSquared. In this case, it appears Sprint will be getting paid to give out 4G, instead of having to pay. Not a bad deal... Provides funding for the network upgrade Sprint is working on, and, it should continue to keep our prices the best in the industry.

it also means that ... the rumors of lightsquared will help sprint move to lte.. is false.

therefore... sprint moving to lte is not around the corner.
so.. i sure hope sprint / clear has some big improvements soon!

hummm... I would think with LightSquared piggybacking on Sprints network would increase the likelihood, but what do i know? I hate threads full of speculation and no fact, so ill leave it at that. but since we're on that track, would the fact that Sprint will soon be opening up Nextel's iDen spectrum up with the network upgrade make any difference?

i am just tired of the slow ass speeds.... in areas that I need them the most.

at home i have wifi.. and the 3G speeds or tolerable @ 600kbs. 4G is spotty.

at work... there is no wifi... and 3G is killing me @ 10-50kbs.. 4G is just a ghost.

Anything that gets Sprint to dump Clear is a step in the right direction.

Clear sucks at life. They do zero right, and they are a bad business partner for Sprint. They don't have the cash or capacity needed to be anything other than a liability for Sprint.
