Root [Sprint] Need help rooting

I am truly a noob when it comes to rotting but I had someone root my Sprint HTC One and now I can't get the modded Google play to install? When I try it says "App not installed" I'd really like to get this done asap but I'm at a total loss! After reading through the forums on here, I see that Manu people are brilliant and I'm certain people can come to my rescue on here lol...... Please help a poor pathetic noob!

where did you get the google play rom ?
does it explain you need s-off and a specific version of TWRP to use it ?

I honestly don't know anything? I watched some YouTube videos and do what they said! I've tried the terminal emulator and can't do it that way either! I'm really starting to lose my mind!

Their is no google edition rom for your phone
what recovery did you install ?

Please confirm which phone you have, is it a One M7 or a One M8?
