Root [Sprint] No recovery???

I have a problem with my HTC one m7. I rooted my phone a while ago. Recently i tried to flash twrp. That failed and I tried to flash cwm recovery. That didn't work. I don't know what recovery is on the phone. Anyways recently they had an ota update and I tried to flash the stock recovery with the correct cid so I could update. I don't think the stock one worked. I'm so confused. I guess I screwed something up. Also when I plug in the phone or try to boot into recovery, it takes me straight to the fastboot menu. Anybody seen anything like this before? I am s-on and no longer rooted if that matters. Thank you to anyone who can tell me how I screwed up and how to fix it.

So, if you go into the bootloader, then select "recovery", what happens? You end up back in the bootloader/fastboot? If so it suggests that you managed to corrupt your recovery during one of those flashing attempts.

You need a stock recovery to install an OTA update, so if your recovery is either corrupt or custom the OTA will not work. So if you want the OTA you need to find a stock recovery which is compatible with your phone. If you are S-On but unlocked you can flash a recovery image using fastboot - it shouldn't need zips or packages which test the cid. If you've relocked you need to unlock to flash a recovery using fastboot, and conversely if you are unlocked you need to relock to use an RUU.
