Unless the GS3 wows me, i will be getting the htc evo 4g lte

I have the Epic 4g Touch. If samsung doesn't come with a high end phone hardware wise, stop with the cheap plasic design. Im getting the Evo 4g Lte, the design is quality. I just dont think sammy is going to wow anybody? I hope im wrong tho?????

I expect it to be typical thin plastic back cover since they want to keep it thin. I owned about 8 different Samsung devices and none of them ever had durability issues despite plastic. I think its more about bragging to your iPhone friends.

Also... It looks like it passed wifi Certification all the way back in February so I dont think we will have to wait that long until its released.

Not a surprise at this point, but still kind of a bummer to see. Hopefully the user experience will be equally nice. I wouldn't have had any doubt about the Exynos chip.

There's nothing wrong with plastic. It's more durable and lighter than metal. Just because its plastic doesn't mean its not built well.

me too, but that display is only 800x480 - may as well just get a GSII

The phone's 1.2cm thick! Doesn't have anything in common with a GSIII

Looks like from the link you posted that Verizon might have a global version. I hope Sprint's will be too.
