Sprint Pre-Order and Release date discussion thread

Pretty sure at least some of us would've received some kind of tracking# info. by now if they were actually shipping some today. Now I'm starting to think that they will indeed ship it on 20th (hopefully via overnight pkg service). SOB! hahahah
I wouldn't be surprised to see it ship and arrive that quickly. I remember ordering my OG EVO from Sprint.com in the morning and receiving it the next afternoon.

To me, it doesn't make sense. UPS ground TODAY would have saved Sprint thousands of dollars versus UPS RED on Wednesday. I just hope to have the damn thing by Friday and I'll be happy.

hahahah I'm ready to dump my Evo 3D as well!! Sprint probably has some crazy overnight pricing deal with UPS since they ship massive amount of products on daily basis. Bastards gonna make us wait til the official launch date!! even Apple shipped my iPad3 within 2-3days from pre-order date! They're lucky I'm not into damned iPhone!! hahah

Well we can safely say its not getting shipped out today lol, oh well hopefully we'll all wake up in the morning to Emails with tracking numbers.

It really depends where they are shipping to. I know mine is going to get shipped Ground regardless of what day it ships because it is supposed to be 1 day shipping time from Louisville to where I am, a little north of Chicago. So I doubt everyone is going to get Next Day Air even if they wait until Wednesday to ship.
I agree. I would've expected to see some unboxing/hands on vids by now.
I actually see a lot of those videos on youtube?? Unless you guys are specifically talking about the U.S. Version. And that would probably be because thats not till the 21st?

I'm pretty sure they'll be in stores or online on the 21. It even says check back that day. They wouldn't have that if they didn't think they were going to have them by then.
I'm going camping on Friday. I don't want this phone waiting at my door when I get back. But I believe we will have them by the 21st. I'm sure it is Samsung that is controlling everything right now.

Samsung is controlling everything? I don't know about that. It's all about money. Why would they NOT release it and make their bottom line?
Yea, I meant the US/LTE versions. Seems like there's usually a couple review units floating around the web this close to the launch...

We are talking about the US version. Phones are usually always reviewed and unboxed long before release dates.
I really doubt it's anyone but Samsung that is pulling the trigger. If they're having a press release on the 20th, it would make sense to keep as many GS3s under wraps until then. It would be undercutting their own show if they allowed Sprint to allow the GS3s to hit a day or two early.
It's Monday evening, the 21s is 2 days + some hours away. Relax! It's like Christmas...the more excited you let yourself be, the less you're able to sleep and the slower morning comes.

Hmmmm, I am lowering my expectations of the phone until it arrives. Theres nothing like being extremely underwhelmed after for something for a long time, so I see it just as another phone at this moment and it gets here when it gets here.
I agree. Samsung wants to make it's event a "big thing", so it needs to hold off on the phones until the event over. But I am still hoping that we will get the phone by Wednesday.

I believe it was June 12th was the last day to cancel pre orders. If you truly want to cancel, refuse delivery.
I don't want to cancel I just wanted to see if I could cancel so I can go to the store on the 21st and get the phone then if sprint doesn't send me a tracking number by tomorrow.

Doubtful you'll see any S3's in the stores on the 21st. Not even demo models.
I went to my local bestbuy and they're taking pre-orders also for people to pick them up on the 21st. They might get them.

Considering they delayed the Canadian release a week and current pre-orders are now listing an arrival date of the 28th, I doubt 3rd party sellers will get priority over att, t-mo, and sprint. IMO, you won't be able to walk into any store and purchase an S3 until the end of the month. I'll be happy if those of us that pre-ordered the S3 within the first hour get ours on the 21st. But it's looking less likely.
