ALSO A ROOT METHOD FOR JB UPDATE
I've heard that JB devices after flashing via Odin would reboot and have stock recovery.
I believe I have found the problem:
The latest update by Samsung will force re-install stock Android Recovery every time you boot up Sammy's ROM, so CWM will not stick.
You'll have to push CWM with Odin in download mode (Power + Vol Down), uncheck Auto Reboot. Once it says PASS, unplug cable, remove battery, and enter Recovery (Power + Vol Up) as you normally would.
xInterloperx's CWM: http://www.oudhitsquad.com/android/Samsung/SPH-L300/Mod/recovery/CWMR-v6.0.2.8-Victory.zip
xInterloperx's TWRP: http://www.oudhitsquad.com/android/Samsung/SPH-L300/Mod/recovery/TWRP.2.4.3.0.tar
Then flash the file root file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/retosl9gohrtfhg/superuser.zip
After flashing of zip, "SuperSU" by Chainfire and "Superuser" by ChainsDD will both be installed, just go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, and un-install the one you don't want
Taken from S3 forums: http://androidforums.com/sprint-cri...ngs-root/588621-odin-pass-cwm-but-no-cwm.html
Confirmed working!!!
