Sprint service

Is anyone else getting terrible service from sprint as of the past months? I've been a sprint customer for over 10 years and never have I had more problems with my sprint service. I.e. dropping calls slow or no internet connection. No 3g service.

I figured maybe it was my old Samsung moment but now that I have the EVO I get better phone usage but the connections are just as bad. I live in Hartford and the 4G when connected is pretty good in spots but it does little to make up for not being able to video chat and send/recieve picture mail.

I added my gf to my plan who came from T-Mobile and she called to complain about the service (she lives in Springfield mass) and was told they told her they were in the process of updating their coverage for the area.

I'm jus curious if anyone else out there are having the same issues.

Yeah, same here. Also, Sprint's customer service has always been bad, but now it's downright nasty. A supervisor offered me an early upgrade special as an apology for something that happened with my account (despite having just upgraded about 3 weeks earlier). When I called to use it they said there was a problem, despite the note from the supervisor in the account. Escalated me to dispute resolution where a woman yelled at me and said I was a "manipulative liar trying to steal phones from Sprint so I could sell them to people and make money."

I was like...say what b*itch? I pretty much made her cry before reporting her behavior to HER supervisor.

Must be regional. Our Sprint service is superb. Maybe Midwest is better situated? Also, our customer service is outstanding.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.

I've been having a lot of issues in west Michigan, as well as many friends who are on Sprint. But customers service has been GREAT. They keep me posted on what is happening and gave me a nice big discount for july for my trouble. We are mostly having dropped call issues, no signal and voice mail problems.

I just switched to Sprint, and it's been below what I would expect for the Chicago area. Call drop, no service in my apartment, 3G data drops all the time. I think it might have something to do with the cell tower upgrades and the switching of the iDEN network, but if it doesn't improve I'm going to be very sore that I chose Sprint over Verizon back when Verizon still had unlimited data plans.

yeah.. data and connection has been pretty bad this year....

I am guessing..... it is due to the new VISION upgrade rollout..
Dan H. will announce something huge this fall...

i think they are messing around with all the towers.. upgrading and changing things. this is causing all kinds of issues with performance. I hope we are putting up with this crap now, so that we can see a better tomorrow.

I think you are correct. My service has been "occasionally" worse then normal. Hope you are right!
