Help Sprint SG2 shutting down randomly

Hey guys, new guy here.

Ive been having a lot of issues with my phone lately. But the biggest one by far is that it keeps randomly shutting off when the battery gets below 60%. At 60% and up it acts completely normal, but anything below it will randomly shut off, and then will attempt to turn back on, but constantly will shut itself off with no warning.

Ive tried changing batteries out, and it really hasnt changed at all. I suppose its possible both batteries are bad, but kmon. My mom has the exact same phone, and recently has started doing the same thing too.

Im kind of thinking its an update thats caused the issue, but im not sure. Specifically because, it started quickly after an update. Any ideas?

Also this was unrooted beforehand, and I literally just rooted the phone, still didnt help. :(

With your situation, its less likely, but have you tried the spin test?
Take your battery and try spinning it on a smooth, flat surface. If it spins with no resistance, then your battery(ies) is inflated and should get them replaced at a Sprint store.

If that's not it, then the latest update shouldn't be causing the problem. It only fixed an Exynos processor exploit.

If nothing's wrong with the battery, you might want to try doing a factory reset

Mother weqnfobqv.....I figured because I have two batteries theres no flipping way. Just checked both of them, they spin like a top. Moms battery is expanded on one side too.

Well I believe Ill be trying to replace them then. Is this the correct battery replacement?

And is this a possible battery upgrade?

Haha yeah. LiIon batteries can be a pain like that
And yes, both should work with the Epic 4G Touch.

If you take your phone(s) to a Sprint store, they should replace your E4GT battery for free (just be sure to be nice to the customer service rep!).
