Sprints New Plan Called "Sprint Prepaid"~Thoughts??

sprint just launched and replaced its sprint as you go plan with the new "sprint prepaid" plan.

the plan is made up of 2 sections: a smartphone side (android/ios) and feature phone (yet to be determined) side. and each has 2 tiers: data or no data.

Smartphone Plan:
Smart: unlimited talk, and text, no data; wifi only $45
Smart Plus: unlimited talk, text and data up to 2.5gigs $60

Feature Phone Plan:
Basic: unlimited talk, and text, no data; wifi only $35
Basic Plus: unlimited talk, text and data up to 2.5gigs $50

is this the beginning of the boost/virgin merger that was rumored to happen this year? what are your thoughts??

I'd rather stick with Boost Mobile plans. You can't beat the shrinkage plans and LTE promo plans starting at $35!

It's cheaper then the Sprint As You Go plan ($70), but you can still get better deals from many MVNO carriers, including MVNOs that use Sprint.

my thoughts are that this could be the beginning of merging boost and virgin together by creating a inhouse prepaid umbrella to combine everything into one. and to compete with at&t who just bought cricket; while the t-mobile merger is up in the air. the pricing is similar mix of both boost (only $10 more) and virgin services (esp the $35 one). personally i think the no data plans are sucky imo,
