I have the GS3 and haven't even had it for a year.. Just recently I noticed that my text notifications won't pop up on the lock screen nor the at the top of the homescreen. I checked volume, they're all up. I went to text message settings and they're all checked for me to receive the notifications, but still never received any notifications on homescreen/lockscreen. The only way I'm receiving a notification on homescreen/and wake up on the lockscreen, is because of an app called "chomp sms" but I don't want to use that any longer. I've turned off the chomp sms settings and the regular messages still won't work.
